    We are working to release a new version of our data recording package for March 2021. The new release integrates several changes and improvements, listed below:

    • OAuth ver 1 and 2 support for different providers
    • SNMP support and a new data recorder, snmprec
    • TCP socket data recorder, sockrec
    • BACnet support
    • macOS experimental support Big Sur 11.x
    • Improvements for Azure BLOB storage monitoring
    • Data recorders startup improvements for CloudLinux installations
    • Perl 5.32.1 update
    • libcurl 7.75.0 update
    • OpenSSL 1.1.1j update
    • Net::SSLeay 1.90 update
    • IO::Socket::SSL 2.070 update
    • Crypt-OpenSSL-X509-1.902 update
    • CPAN March 2021 update

    Source code: We will provide early access to 1.8 release, during January and February, as interim updates.

    We are working on Linux deb/rpm packages for the very first release of 1.8.0. FreeBSD will follow. MacOS after that.

    Will integrate as well for 1.8 release the following new features:

    • Provide support to measure connection data rate and latency  using
    • Look up location, country by IP Address
    • Support for countries 2-letter, 3-letter and numerical codes (ISO-3166, UNSD)
    • Decode aviation METAR, TAF weather reports
    • Spreadsheet data files support (XLSX)
    • Flexible I/O Tester to benchmark and stress/hardware for verification (FIO)

    The Kronometrix Data Recording stack is almost ready on Apple M1 silicon.

    We will make another CPAN update before mid Feb. We will test using Feb 2021 CPAN updates, perl 5.32.1 which should fix several bugs on Apple M1 silicon and improve overall performance.

    SNMP support is there. The data recorder, snmprec will be added for coming release of KDR 1.8.2 or 1.8.3 during April 2021. BACnet support will come during May 2021.

    The following items are still being worked at the moment:

    • macOS support (x64 / ARM)
    • sockrec recorder
